From April 15 to 21, OSF organizes a mission to Zhuhai and Chengdu in China, the mission is all about football! This mission is a follow-up to the mission in October 2017. This time the mission to China consists of a visit to the largest football seminar in the world, namely Soccerex and various meetings in Chengdu.
The proposed program for this mission is as follows:
April 15: Flight Amsterdam – Zhuhai
April 16: Arrival Zhuhai
April 17: Soccerex + meeting China Resources
April 18: Soccerex + flight Zhuhai – Chengdu
April 19: Meetings
April 20: Meetings + Sports Seminar Chengdu
April 21: Flight Chengdu – Amsterdam
The meeting at China Resources is a follow-up meeting after the earlier meeting on 27 October 2017. China Resources is responsible for the sports facilities and stadiums for the 2021 national championships in Xi’an, China. This offers opportunities for Dutch companies.
Later there will be a visit to Soccerex on 17 & 18 April. The fair has more than 1200 visitors, more than 65 exhibitors and more than 400 rights holders, this leads to more than 27 hours of intensive network hours. Interesting speakers will also be present, for example Gerard Houllier (Global Head of football, Red Bull), Pingi Zhao (CEO and co-founder WanPlus), Mark Sutcliffe (CEO of Hong Kong FA) and various speakers from European superpowers such as Manchester United and Bayern Munich. Holland Branding has a stand at Soccerex where participants of the consortium can actively participate.
In Chengdu there will be three business appointments, for example with Chengdu Qianbao F.C. (3th division club from Chengdu) and other sports-related companies and governments. There are about 35 different Dutch offices in Chengdu, they will of course be involved in the mission. A sports seminar will then take place in Chengdu, where about 100 Chinese guests are present. Here, several Dutch companies and Chinese parties will discuss the opportunities for football in the Chengdu region and this offers an excellent platform to the Dutch delegation to present themselves to relevant Chinese parties.
